Author: Siobhan | October 8th, 2009
The Mezza boys were back in the office the other week before playing the Ministry of Sound to have a look at the new collection and to pick out some t-shirts for the night.
From originally establishing itself at London’s infamous Turnmills club. The
Gallery has long been synonymous with Londons clubbing scene. Started by Danny
Newman with brother and resident DJ Tall Paul, the Gallery now resides at
Ministry of Sound and since moving there in April 2008 has seen the size of
it’s following continue to swell, never failing to fill the cavernous Box to capacity. September 2009 see’s the Gallery’s return to the club celebrating alongside Ministry’s 18th birthday. With very special guest Boy George fresh from his
jailhouse stint over the pond- headlining against other Gallery greats including, Judge Jules, Tall Paul, Matt Hardwick, Gavyn Mytchel and The Viceroy.
In the Babybox Headroc hold their debut as hosts.
With Kent heroes Mezza Sound System headlining appearing alongside headroc
guests including Deep Milo, How Clean is your House. Adam Black and Fraser Owen
of prehab fame.
Back in the babybox MSS take things up a notch spinning a wide range of electro and breaks to the jumped up crowd. With a record box of self-made bootlegs
and Mezza favourites the boys go down a treat, leaving the crowd demanding
more when they eventually finish with the Soulwax remix of ‘MGMT’ kids. Headroc’s
debut at Ministry has gone down fantastically and is sure to be the start of
many more exciting nights to come for the Mezza boys.
